Former One Direction member Liam Payne dies at age 31

Payne performed on the British version of "The X Factor" in Barbados in 2008. He was cut from the competition but returned two years later to audition again.

The group of One Heading vocalist Liam Payne said they're "shattered" following his passing at 31 years old. The previous One Bearing vocalist passed on after tumbling from the third floor of a lodging in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Superstars and fans offered recognition.

• The conditions encompassing his passing were as yet hazy. Buenos Aires police said they went to the lodging on Wednesday in the wake of getting an emergency call about a forceful man who was perhaps affected by medications or liquor.

• Inn staff had mentioned dire police help before Payne fell, as per an emergency call from a CNN subsidiary. The lodging supervisor said a visitor was "overpowered with medications and liquor," and that staff didn't have the foggiest idea "whether the visitor's life is in danger." Photographs of Payne's lodging delivered by police showed a crushed TV.
