According to the Correction Services, an examination is currently underway to determine the facts after reporting on the possibility of the disappearance of two dangerous residents at the Pollsmoor Correction Center.
Peter Gronewald's response sought corruption and said two convicted offenders MeKayle Timmie and Mikyle Mentoor should be detained in correctional facilities at least by October 2025.
The party said this was due to an order from the Supreme Court.
The two are punished for rape or murder.
On Tuesday, the party also wrote a letter to Police Minister Senzo Mchunu to confirm whether his department had been notified of the loss of two residents. Nicholas Gottsel, a member of the National Council of State, said it has been almost a week since Pollsmoor's oversight department revealed officials could not explain to the two individuals.
Gossel still said the party had not received a reply from the letter sent on May 14th.
Groenenewald spokesman Eune Oelofsen said an investigation is ongoing to determine the correct facts.
The Minister is still waiting for the results of this investigation and will comment as soon as I receive it," Oelofsen said.
